Department General information (About the department, objective, vision

The office has come into existence with a view to acquire land for Tumakuru-Rayadurga & Tumakuru-DavanagereRailway  ProjectsObjectives

• The objective of the department is as under:
• This office is acquiring land for construction of Railway Lines, Railway Station, Platforms & Bridges Etc., From Tumakuru to Sira and Tumakuru-Pavagada via Koratagere, Madhugiri.

Vision

This office is having a vision of completing the Land Acquisition Works by the end of 2016 for the following schemes under Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and Right to Fair Compensation and Re Habilitation and Re Settlement Act., 2013.

This Office is going to acquire the land and handover to Railway Department, Banglore, through Deputy Chief Engineer.

Important Notification, Circulars.

This office is working on the guidelines of Land Acquisition Act, 1894 and Right to Fair Compensation and Re Habilitation and Re Settlement Act., 2013 of Government of India followed by Subsidiary

Rules framed by Government of Karnataka time to time. And we will be issuing Preliminary 4(1) Notification to the public after approval of Deputy Commissioner, Tumakuru and Final 6(1) Notification after the approval of Government Of Karnataka which will be published through Karnataka Gazette and two Local News Papers for the information of the Concerned.

Finally, Award will be prepared by collecting information from concerned Sub-Registrar Office, Horticulture Office, Forest Office and PWD Office for Disbursement of Land Acquisition Compensation Amount. And will be Disbursed after getting the relevant documents which shows the ownership of the concerned. For all these, individual notices will be served to concerned affected person.

Other information etc

The person who is not satisfied from the amount of compensation paid, he can approach the appropriate authority for enhancement of compensation under Section 18 of Land Acquisition Act 1894 and Section 64 of Right to Fair Compensation and Re Habilitation and Re Settlement Act., 2013. Further those who have not approached the appropriate authority they can seek the same higher compensation under section 28(A) of the 1894 act. Under the Right to Fair Compensation and Re Habilitation and Re Settlement Act., 2013 they are also eligible for Rehabilitation and Resettlement benefits.
