Ganga Kalyana Scheme (G.K.S)

Launched with effect from 01.02.1997. The objective of the scheme is to provide irrigation through exploitation of ground water (bore wells and tube wells) for individual and group of beneficiaries belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, Backward classes and Minorities communities. The scheme was merged with S.G.S.Y. since 01.04.1999. Under this Scheme, the beneficiaries Dr. B.R Ambedkar Development corporation, Maharshi Valmiki ST Development corporation, D. Devraj Urs Backward Classes development corporation, Vishwakarma Development Corporation and Minorities development Corporations identify the beneficiaries and approve borewells. The applications for Energization of these borewells are registered by the concerned development corporation at Electricity supply companies (ESCOMs) of Energy Department. Energization of borewells is carried out by ESCOMs.The year wise details are as below:-

Irrigation facility is provided to the agricultural land through lift irrigation scheme utilizing the perennial source of water (rivers) and lifting water through pipe lines.

How To Apply

The applicants can go to the official website to apply for the scheme.
Click on the “Application Forms” option under the “citizen corner” menu on the home page.
Now click on the download option to download the application form in the PDF format.
Complete all the necessary details in the application form and you’re required to submit the filled application forms to the District Magistrate of their respective districts.
After verification by the District Magistrate and Taluk Committee, the selected applications will be transferred to the concerning department for further process.
